Our ingredients
To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag so that it can be better processed into our dry food. With the right proportion of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog uses meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and vibrant color and is rich in vitamins and minerals. This tender meat has lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, making it very beneficial for your dog's health.
Poultry
At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together give our food a delicious taste and aroma. The easily digestible proteins in poultry promote good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide your dog with additional valuable nutrients, we have added super healthy vegetables to our food. For example, vegetables are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, promote digestion.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, which provides your dog with all the important natural antioxidants. For example, fruits can be good for your dog's immune system, but they can also help keep their breath fresh or maintain a healthy digestive system. These natural ingredients promote your dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, algae, etc. has a tradition that goes back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its beneficial properties. The ingredients are marked according to the dog's size, breed or breed group. Breed-specific ailments can be alleviated by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
French Bulldog-Specific Vegetables, Herbs, and Fruits
We have carefully studied the characteristics of the French Bulldog breed. We have also studied the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the French Bulldog belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients were selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the French Bulldog.
Peppermint
Peppermint is a plant in the mint family. It is the plant that led to the production of peppermint. Peppermint is a cross between water mint and spearmint. The plant was found in a field of mint plants in England in the 17th century. The plant is cultivated in England, France, China, Japan, and North and South America.
Peppermint can be added to dog food as it can contribute positively to preventing breed-specific problems related to the intestines and bile. The properties of the peppermint plant also include preventing itching.
Peppermint can promote fresh breath. The mint found in peppermint can have an antispasmodic effect on the intestines and promote bile flow in the intestines. It may also have an antiseptic effect.
Peppermint is rich in vitamins A and C and minerals such as calcium, copper, iron, magnesium and phosphorus.
Nettle
Nettle is a genus of plants, of which the greater nettle and the lesser nettle are found in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its cleansing and blood-purifying properties. According to various sources, nettle kills bacteria and is therefore very effective against infectious diseases. The leaves are also useful for diarrhea and other digestive disorders.
Nettle supports liver and kidney function by stimulating the elimination of waste products. It also supports the bladder and hair growth in dogs.
Nettle also contains silica, or silicon. This is a building material that is part of the connective tissue in bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair, and nails, among other things. Silicon supports the natural production of skin cells and ensures healthy skin.
At Yourdog, we add nettle to our dog food because it can contribute positively to preventing breed-specific problems with the dog's coat, skin and bones, as well as to preventing digestive and/or urinary tract problems. belongs to the nightshade family and comes from the tomato plant, which originated in Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.
At Yourdog we use the tomato in a culinary sense; here we assume that the tomato is a vegetable.
Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories and high in soluble fiber, which aids digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color. The redder a tomato, the more lycopene it contains. Lycopene not only gives tomatoes their red color, but is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can protect against cancer and help against cardiovascular diseases, among other things. Tomatoes also contain a lot of vitamin C, as well as vitamin A and B complex, which can contribute to healthy skin and a strengthened immune system.
Tomatoes are added to our dog food because they can contribute positively to preventing breed-specific problems related to digestion, skin, vision and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, they can have a general cleansing effect on the body.

Your dog will change
To change food brands, we recommend that you follow the steps below. As a first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to it for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old food. It is important that you give the dog two or three days to get used to it again. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely on Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After that, you can feed 100% Yourdog. The food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or dish in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food in the tub individually, but rather put it in the whole bag and close it as tightly as possible.
